I still remember when my father took me when I was child to walking in the Zingg Passage (Pasaje Zingg), only to go up
on the first mechanic escalators that were installed in Caracas, made of wood. Today these escalators are still there but
they not work. The building was designed by Oskar Herz in 1940 and the passage by architect Arthur Kahn in 1953.
