Walls of Memories

Juanita's house walls won't stop remember.
She lives in a town called Hoyo de La Cumbre
on the old road through El Ávila Mountain
used by Spanish conquerors to travel
between the Caribbean Sea and the valley of Caracas.

Today this forgotten road tells us many stories
in the same form that stories hang crooked in these blue walls,
like ships sailing on the sea.
