White Elephants | La Torre de David | 1

In Venezuela, large abandoned buildings are called White Elephants.
Today, the greatest symbol of this is Confinanzas Tower.

Confinanzas was a local bank. In the 90 dreamed to have
one of the tallest towers in Caracas (called also Tower of David).
In those years was audited and closed by the State and now
this tower must be one of the most vertical slums in the world.

After this, visit blog La Torre de David to know the work of two artists,
Ángela Bonadies y Juan José Olavarría, who knew the inside tower.
They created a beautiful work very human, that it has been exhibited
in some world cities.

Also you can see a video-report by The New York Times:

  1. Dear Sir or Madame!

First of all i would like to congratulate for your great page.

Our Customer KAINDL loves one of the pictures so much, that he would like to use it for his printed periodical B2B paper “Querschnitt”.

Unfortunately we do not know the artist. For this reason i would like to ask for a contact to the artist to ask him for permission to use this image:
