Before Google

When I was in school, this place was my Google, my Wikipedia. This is the Simon Rodriguez Metropolitan Library, which still keep intact its original beauty despite the years and new online routines.

Architect: Guillermo Salas - Building inauguration: 1934. First it was the Ministry of Agriculture and then, in 1936, was the Ministry of Education. It was allocated as a library at the end of 70's.

Cuando yo estaba en el colegio, este lugar era mi Google, mi Wikipedia. Esto es la Biblioteca Metropolitana Simón Rodríguez, la que aún mantiene intacta su belleza original a pesar de los años y las nuevas rutinas online.

Arquitecto: Guillermo Salas - Inauguración del edificio: 1934. Primero fue el Ministerio de Agricultura y luego, en 1936, fue el Ministerio de Educación. Fue destinado como Biblioteca a finales de los 70.

Instead of those dirty broad mesons crammed with books and old records,
now the selling books under Av Fuerzas Armadas looks pretty neat and aesthetic,
though with less photography charm.

Bookwallah is the Indian way to name a bookseller.

Molto Grazie Italia

The Italys of Caracas: a great little exhibition that showing the architectural heritage of Italian architects and artists who, after leaving his native country in wartimes, came to Caracas to take root of cement leaving a surprising legacy.

Las Italias de Caracas: una pequeña gran exposición donde se muestra la herencia arquitectónica de arquitectos y artistas italianos que, después de dejar su país natal en tiempos de guerra, vinieron a Caracas a echar raíces de cemento dejando un legado sorprendente.
