Last Post: I love you Caracas

This is the last post of Caracas Shots photoblog, after 3 years and just 580 posts including this one. I return to Santiago, Chile, city where I lived for almost 15 years. I'll keep waiting  from there that this Bolivarian government disappears before they end of sinking our country. As an irony, I stole this government propaganda to end this blog path: I love you Caracas.

Ésta es la última entrada del fotoblog Caracas Shots, luego de 3 años sumando 580 posts incluyendo éste. Vuelvo a Santiago de Chile, ciudad donde viví casi 15 años para seguir esperando desde allá que este gobierno desaparezca algún día antes de que termine de hundir nuestro país. A manera de ironía, yo le robo al gobierno esta propaganda política para sellar la historia de este blog: te quiero Caracas.

Yesterday May 21 died Jaime Lusinchi, ex-president of Venezuela. This is no tribute. It's just to show you this poster that I have from 1983. It's a photo collage of his famous Sí (Yes) that he used in his campaign. It looks a bit like this blog Caracas Shots, isn't?

Ayer 21 de mayo falleció el expresidente de Venezuela Jaime Lusinchi. Éste no es ningún tributo. Solo es para mostrar un afiche que tengo desde 1983 en el cual aparecen diferentes fotos en Caracas del famoso Sí que él uso en su campaña electoral. Se parece un poco a este blog Caracas Shots, ¿cierto?

Last year, some Chavez's followers named him as "The Other Beta", a particular idiom from some slums that means he has leadership over young people. Yes, Beta, the same word that could explain why our country seems to be yet in its Beta version, permanently in testing period.
